My love of the practice of yoga developed into a passion for teaching during my recovery journey from Long Covid.
For three years I struggled with my physical health and mental processing.
Work? Stopped. Studies? Stopped. Exercise? Stopped. Rest? Became my only option.
Despite visits to countless doctors, nobody had answers. I felt lost in a sea of uncertainty. My body went into a state of freeze, terrified of its own deterioration.
I turned to a whole body approach to healing. Functional medicine treatments initiated a healing process. This combined with Yin Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Somatic work became my lifeline. Through these practices, I started to unravel the layers of disconnection I had built between myself and my body. I learnt that the body truly knows what it needs – it’s a matter of letting it express itself.
After three long years, with a lot of patience and resilience to the ups and downs of healing, I started to revive.
With returning health, I introduced Vinyasa Yoga – a perfect balance of rest and movement, gentle yet invigorating.
Through this recovery journey, I became deeply aware of the mind body connection and the healing capacity of the body. I learnt how we can facilitate healing through asanas, intuitive and mindful movement, somatic techniques, breath-work and a connection to ourselves.
The goal is to inspire and teach my students to connect to their body through movement and to find peace and healing within.
